I’m 13. I live in Tampa. And I started SickEBike because the internet was loud about motors and quiet about the truth — in every state, not just mine.

Florida is where I learned that an ebike isn’t a toy and it isn’t a motorcycle. Heat, bridges, bike lanes that vanish, Class 2 vs Class 3 signs nobody reads. That lesson travels. California wants a helmet and a UL sticker. New York City caps you at 15. New Jersey wants a plate. Texas barely wants a helmet. Same motor, fifty rulebooks. That’s the beat.

SickEBike.com is a nationwide informational desk: launches, spec breakdowns, routes from the Oregon Coast to White Rim, gear, and the laws that decide where a motor is still a bicycle. No dealership energy. No “trust me bro” range claims. When a number is manufacturer-claimed, it says so. When a law changed in 2026, it says that too.

What I ride

Right now I ride a Tuttio. It’s the bike that got me hooked — dirt-bike stance, instant throttle, the kind of machine you grow out of on purpose. That gap is half the reason this site exists. Most of what I cover is Class 1–3: commuters, trail bikes, cargo, folders, the bikes that share a lane. The Tuttio is how I got here. The next bike is how I stay in it.

Why this exists

Adults built the bikes. Kids and teens are living on them — school, work, the long way home. Somebody from this generation should run the magazine. That’s the whole pitch.

I’m not a lab. I’m a rider who reads the spec sheet, checks the statute, and publishes what I find — California to Maine, Texas to Washington. This first version is informational: stories, guides, a newsletter. No account required. If I got a motor wrong, hit contact. I’ll fix it faster than a firmware update.
