ALSO TM-B: At 4 Percent the Assist Was GoneNews

ALSO TM-B: At 4 Percent the Assist Was Gone

Electrek, 29 October 2026, reports that Launch Edition owner Aaron Draczynski ran an ALSO TM-B down on purpose. From 23 percent to 13, the max assist fell from level 8 to 5. At 4 percent the assist was gone and the bike shifted by itself. He called the last state Infinite Turtle Mode: flat ground felt like fourth gear, a hill like seventh or eighth. Left near 70 percent, the bike read 40 that evening and 18 the next day, then asked him to install a battery that was already in. Seventy minus 18 is 52 percentage points. This desk does not have the watt-hours, so that is not a drain in watt-hours. There is no chain from the pedals to the wheel.

Lancaster, N.Y.: $50, and the Trail Ban Is Not Every E-BikeNews

Lancaster, N.Y.: $50, and the Trail Ban Is Not Every E-Bike

This is the Town of Lancaster in Erie County, New York, not Pennsylvania. Rachel Ross at WIVB, 27 October 2026, says the town is introducing a local law on e-bikes and scooters. The 19 October board packet already contains Local Law No. 7 of 2026, written as an adoption, and says it takes effect when it is filed with the Secretary of State. A first violation is $50. A second is up to $100. Each one after that is up to $250. The Heritage Trail sentence bans Class 2 and Class 3. It does not name Class 1. This desk did not find an aye count or a filing receipt.

Bosch Active Line Plus: 60 Nm, and the 600 Watts Did Not Move

Bosch’s new Active Line Plus is the BDU344Y. The EU product page prints 60 Nm, 600 watts, 340 percent support, 250 watts continuous, and 2.7 kg. The motor it replaces, the BDU334Y, already printed 600 watts, 340 percent, 250 watts, and 50 Nm at 3.2 kg. The new 70 rpm cell is 366.5 watts. That is 50 Nm at 70 rpm, not 60.

Revel Ranger Ti: Ten Frames, No Motor, $5,969News

Revel Ranger Ti: Ten Frames, No Motor, $5,969

Pinkbike’s 14 October 2026 press release is a titanium-and-carbon Ranger, not an e-bike. The frameset is $5,969, or £4,999. Size large is 8.02 pounds, which they also print as 3.64 kilograms. A complete bike in the photos is 29.5 pounds. Revel’s cart, the next day, says the first 10 numbered frames are sold out, takes a $500 reservation, and then prints two delivery sentences that do not match.

Modesto: $500, Then $2,500, Then $5,000. Not Law Yet.

The Modesto Bee, Dean J. Condoleo, published 14 October 2026 and updated the next day. The council voted 6-0 to introduce an ordinance. A first offense would be $500, a second $2,500, a third $5,000. It is not adopted. It takes effect 30 days after a final vote that has not happened. E-bikes would be off city sidewalks. The park and trail number is 15 mph, unless the parks director authorizes 20.

Nomad 2 Deal: $1,999, and 65 Miles Times Two

Electrek’s Green Deals post, 15 October 2026 at 11:00 am Pacific, does not cut the Velotric Nomad 2. The bike stays $1,999. The offer is a second battery they price at $550, and they say that doubles the range to 130 miles. Sixty-five times two is 130, and 65 is the hero claim already on this site. The same post prices two Hiboy kids’ bikes a few cents off the cards, and names a DM14 this site did not have. No film of the bundle turned up.

Huntingburg: $25, Then $50, Then $100. The Vote Is Nov. 10.

The Dubois County Free Press, 14 October 2026, says the Huntingburg council introduced Ordinance 2026-36 and did not adopt it. The vote is set for 10 November. A first offense would be $25, a second $50, a third $100. Class 3 e-bikes, e-motos, and e-scooters would be off sidewalks and multi-use trails. Class 1 and Class 2 could stay on most sidewalks. Downtown, from Third to Fifth and from Geiger to Van Buren, no device at all. No helmet rule, no age, no vote count, and no effective date are in the story. No film of the meeting turned up.

San Diego: $25, and the Grace Ended October 12News

San Diego: $25, and the Grace Ended October 12

The City of San Diego’s page for ordinance O-2026-142 says it took effect 13 August 2026. Children under 12 may not ride a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike on bike paths, roadways, trails, parks, or boardwalks. The 60-day grace runs to 12 October. 10News, Dani Miskell, says citations started 13 October at $25, the amount Councilmember Raul Campillo says state law allows. A free course within 120 days can stand in for the fine. Rady’s 1,770 percent figure does not come with a 2022 count. The hospital’s trauma line is a different pair: three in 2021, over 260 this past year. Many of the injured riders in the percent line are 13 and 14, which is not under 12.

Ohio SB 477: Twenty-Five Dollars, Age 14, and Not a Ticket Yet

The Toledo Blade, on 7 October 2026, says Senator Bill DeMora introduced Senate Bill 477. A one-time $25 registration, no operators under 14, 10 mph on a shared path, and 5 mph on a sidewalk. A license or a short course would be the permit. It is not law. The House companion is not filed.

155,000 E-Bike ER Visits Is Not This Year

Bloomberg, on 8 October 2026, says authorities are moving after 155,000 e-bike ER visits. The CPSC report from April estimates 155,200 visits from 2017 through 2024. The 2024 line is 59,200. The definition is pedals, under 750 watts, and under 20 mph on the motor alone. An e-moto is not in that net.

Texas Law Already Split the E-Bike From the 50 mph MachineNews

Texas Law Already Split the E-Bike From the 50 mph Machine

Section 664.001 is pedals, fewer than 750 watts, and 28 mph or less. Fifty fails that. A city may set a path speed and may close a natural-surface trail. The Cooldown post names no trail. Austin’s memo does.

Bermuda’s E-Bike Grace Period Ends This Month. No Watt Line Was Printed

Minister Owen Darrell says the Motor Car Act already covers many high-powered machines. Owners have until the end of October 2026 to try to get legal. The window does not cover an underage rider, or a machine with no licence or insurance. TNN printed no watt and no fine.

A faster machine has to be called something else. The Bee’s reading adds a moped under 3 kW and a motor-driven cycle up to 3.75 kW.

NYC Heard 23 E-Bike Bills. None of Them Passed

The Council’s 30 September release says the hearing covered 23 bills, including a phase-out of Class 3 sales and use. The street cap it prints is already 15 mph. It also says Class 3 assistance goes to 25, not 28. Bicycle Retailer’s penalty line is a warning until 1 April 2029, then $50 and $100. Laid over is not law.

Riverside Did Not Ban E-Bikes on the Santa Ana River Trail

On 22 September the council sent the ordinance back to committee. The draft would have closed city trails, including the Santa Ana River Trail. Councilmember Sean Mill said that was never the intent. Police reported more than 200 calls from 1 January through 1 July, and 22 crashes, with no class split. No return date was set.

Commissioners voted Tuesday, 29 September 2026. Sidewalks and shared paths are 10 mph. Roads, bike lanes, bike paths, and trails are 20. The Sentinel prints $100. That vote is not a $1,200 rebate, and it is not a motor you clip on.
