Brompton Electric C / P Line: Everything You Need to Know

US cards: C Line from 39.5 lb and $4,700, P Line from 35.05 lb and $5,500, both 345Wh and up to 56 miles. UK pages print 17.3 kg and 16 kg. A spec index prints 300Wh.

The short answer

The Brompton Electric C / P Line is two folding bikes. US cards put steel at from 39.5 lb and $4,700, and the dearer frame at from 35.05 lb and $5,500. Both use a 345Wh pack and claim up to 56 miles. UK pages print 17.3 kg and 16 kg. A spec index prints 300Wh. Pedals are on the bike. No class numeral on those cards.

The Brompton Electric C / P Line is two folding bikes on one list row, not one weight and not a 70 lb folder. On the US range page the C Line is steel and the P Line is the dearer frame. Steel starts at $4,700 and from 39.5 pounds. That one starts at $5,500 and from 35.05 pounds. Both sit on the e-Motiq system. The battery line is 345Wh, up to 56 miles, five hours to full. A UK shop comparison prints steel from 17.3 kilograms and £2,999, and the dearer frame at 16 kilograms and £3,879. Seventeen point three kilograms is 38.1 pounds. Sixteen kilograms is 35.3 pounds. That Stateside steel figure is heavier than 38. The list’s ~34–38 lb band covers that one and that UK kilogram. It does not cover the steel figure. The row links here.

Pounds, kilograms, and a 300Wh index

Brompton USA electric range page and the SuperRoll+ 4-speed product page, JV Bike’s 2026 Canada card, Cycling Weekly (24 March 2026), Velorution (26 August 2026), Cyclist (28 July 2026), and a September 2026 spec index. Not averaged.

What is printed
PriceStateside range page: $4,700 and $5,500. SuperRoll+ 4-speed is $4,700 and was in stock. Cycling Weekly: £3,879 and $5,500 for the dearer frame, £800 less for steel. Velorution: from £2,999, SuperRoll+ £3,079, and £3,879. JV Bike: C$5,850 before tax. The list’s $4,700+ is the Stateside floor.
WeightWith the pack, Stateside cards say from 39.5 pounds and from 35.05 pounds. Without it: 31.4 pounds and 28.6 pounds. Velorution: 17.3 kilograms, 17.9 for SuperRoll+, and 16 kilograms. Cyclist matches those. JV: 17.6 kilograms, printed as 38.8 pounds, and 13.85 kilograms, printed as 30.5 pounds, with the pack out. The index: 17.6 and 16.3 kilograms. The steel figure is not 17.3 kilograms. 35.05 pounds is not 16 kilograms.
Motor and batteryCycling Weekly: 250W rear hub, 345Wh, four modes including zero. Velorution: 250W, 24 Nm, 345Wh, charge 4 hours to 80% and 5 hours full, claimed range up to 90 km. Ninety kilometers is 55.9 miles. Stateside pages: 345Wh Greenway, up to 56 miles, a 5-hour full charge, a rear hub, and on one block “3 assistance modes.” The September index prints 300Wh for both, with the same 90 km claim. Three hundred is not 345. Do not average them into 322.
What the money buysVelorution’s sentence: every electric Brompton in that comparison uses the same system, so money above the entry price buys frame and weight, not a bigger motor. Titanium rear and a carbon fork on the dearer frame. Steel on the other. The Stateside range page says “steel, titanium and carbon” for it. T Line and G Line are other rows. This list row is these two.
FoldSuperRoll+ folded size: 23 by 22.2 by 10.6 inches. The non-electric page prints a similar box and a from-weight of 26.12 pounds. That bike is not this one. 31.4 pounds without the pack is already over that non-electric figure.
PaperStateside electric page: UL 2849. No Class 1, 2, or 3 numeral turned up on the cards read here, and no assist cutoff in miles per hour. A 250W rear hub with pedals and no throttle is the shape of a low-speed electric bicycle. The hangtag is still the shop’s job. A UK 25 km/h cap and a Stateside 20 or 28 are not the same sticker.

Three hundred forty-five watt-hours is the battery cell and the UK reviews. Three hundred is the index. Ninety kilometers and 56 miles are the same range if you convert 90 times 0.621, which is 55.9, and the Stateside page rounds to 56. The weight cells do not convert that cleanly. Quote pounds from the Stateside card and kilograms from the UK card. Do not publish 37 pounds as a compromise between 35 and the steel figure.

The Stateside card says from 39.5 pounds. A UK page says 17.3 kilograms, which is 38.1 pounds. The index says 300Wh. The battery pages say 345.

Who it is for

It is the train folder. The dearer frame is from 35.05 pounds, at $5,500. Steel is the heavier Stateside figure, at $4,700, and a UK card still says 17.3 kilograms. You pay the gap if the stairs are the job and about four pounds matter. You buy steel if the motor is the same and the frame is what you can lift. You do not buy either as a 56-mile touring bike. That range is a claim with no rider weight on the card.

A Lectric XP4 is the folder at about 70 pounds and about $999 to $1,299. It folds. It is not this carry. The folding piece is that split. The class chart is why a 250W pedal bike can be a bicycle and a 15 kW dirt bike cannot. The watt-hour page is why 345 and 300 are not one pack. Pedals are here. A throttle did not turn up on these cards. Walk the hangtag. If it says Class 1, assist stops at 20. If a UK bike stops at 25 km/h, that is 15.5 mph. The list row is allowed to name both frames. It is not allowed to weigh them as 34 pounds.

Questions people ask

Is the folder Class 1, 2, or 3?+

The cards read for this guide do not print a class numeral or an assist cutoff in miles per hour. The motor cited in reviews is a 250W rear hub, with pedals and no throttle. The hangtag is still the shop’s job. A UK 25 km/h cap is 15.5 mph, not 20 and not 28.

Why do the weights disagree?+

Stateside cards say from 39.5 pounds and from 35.05 pounds with the pack. A UK shop prints 17.3 kilograms and 16 kilograms. Seventeen point three kilograms is 38.1 pounds. Do not publish 37 as a compromise.

Is the battery 300Wh or 345Wh?+

The range page and the UK reviews print 345Wh. A September spec index prints 300Wh and the same 90 km claim. Ninety kilometers is 55.9 miles. The Stateside page rounds that to 56. Do not average 300 and 345.

What does the extra money buy?+

A shop comparison says every electric in that set uses the same system, so the gap buys frame and weight, not a bigger motor. Steel is the cheaper frame. Titanium and a carbon fork are the dearer one. T Line and G Line are other rows.
