Nomad 2 Deal: $1,999, and 65 Miles Times Two

Electrek’s Green Deals post, 15 October 2026 at 11:00 am Pacific, does not cut the Velotric Nomad 2. The bike stays $1,999. The offer is a second battery they price at $550, and they say that doubles the range to 130 miles. Sixty-five times two is 130, and 65 is the hero claim already on this site. The same post prices two Hiboy kids’ bikes a few cents off the cards, and names a DM14 this site did not have. No film of the bundle turned up.

The short answer

Electrek’s 15 October deal does not cut the Velotric Nomad 2. The bike stays $1,999. A second battery, priced at $550, is free, and Electrek says that doubles the range to 130 miles. The hero claim already filed here is 65 miles. Sixty-five times two is 130. That is the claim, not a second ride.

Electrek’s Thursday deal list, 15 October 2026, is a coupon sheet, not a new bike. The line that matters is the Velotric Nomad 2. The post says there is no price cut. The bike is $1,999 shipped, which is the cart this site already filed. The offer is a second battery, priced in the headline at $550 and given away, and Electrek says that battery takes the bike to 130 miles and doubles the travel range. The Nomad 2 page has the hero claim at 65 miles. Sixty-five times two is 130. The doubling is that arithmetic. It is not a second loop. Electrek also says the deepest earlier cut on the bike itself was $1,749. One thousand nine hundred ninety-nine minus 1,749 is $250. The battery credit they are counting is $550, which is $300 more than that cut. A saw, a camera, and a sodium power station are also on the list. They are not bicycles, and they are not in this table.

Electrek, 15 October 2026, set next to pages this site already filed. The DM14 row is Hiboy’s cart, read the same day. A blank stays blank.

One hundred thirty is the 65, twice

Electrek does not print the 65. It prints 130 and the word double. The 65 is the Nomad hero on the brand sheets this site already used: one pack, 48 volts, 14.7 amp-hours, labeled 705.6 watt-hours. A second pack, if it is the same pack, is another 705.6. Fourteen hundred eleven point two watt-hours is that sum, and Electrek does not print it. The $550 is their price for the battery, not a watt-hour. Nothing in the deal post says the second pack was ridden. A brand story on the Nomad page already said 45 to 65 miles for one pack. Doubling the low end is 90, not 130. Electrek doubled the high end and called it the range.

The Hiboy cents, and a bike that was not here

The DK1 and DK2 are already filed. Electrek’s DK2 is $299.97. The card was $299.99. That is two cents. The DK1 is $359.95 against $359.99, which is four cents. Electrek’s age for the DK1 is 3 to 10, which is the spec table, not the title that says 3 to 13. The new name on the list is the DM14. Electrek prints $539.98, ages 8 to 14, and 48 volts, and stops. Hiboy’s cart, the same day, is $539.99 against a regular of $869.99, and the page says the savings are $330. Eight hundred sixty-nine point nine nine minus 539.99 is 330. The one cent is Electrek against the cart. The spec block is a 48-volt, 9-amp-hour pack, a 750-watt peak, 20 mph, up to 38 miles, 58 pounds, a 165-pound max load, disc brakes, 18-inch tires, suspension at both ends, a 6.5-hour charge, and IPX4. Forty-eight times 9 is 432 watt-hours. The card does not print that. Four hundred thirty-two divided by 38 is 11.4 watt-hours per mile, if the claim and the pack are a pair. The spec list does not print pedals. A 750-watt peak and 20 mph, with no pedals in the list, is not a Class 1, 2, or 3 bike. It is a children’s motorcycle-shaped machine. The class chart still wants pedals.

The bike did not get cheaper. The claim got a second battery and a times-two.

The Lectric line on the same post is $1,099. That matches the XPress Lite cart opened earlier today. It is not a new price. No public film of the Nomad bundle turned up. If the free battery disappears, the 130-mile sentence goes with it, and the Nomad page’s 65 stays the one-pack claim. Do not write 130 onto a bike that ships with one pack.

Questions people ask

Is the Velotric Nomad 2 on sale?+

Electrek, 15 October 2026, says no. The bike stays $1,999, which is the price already filed here. The deal is a second battery they value at $550. They say an earlier cut took the bike itself to $1,749. That is $250 off, and it is not this offer.

Does the Nomad 2 really go 130 miles?+

Electrek says the free battery doubles the range to 130 miles. The hero claim on the Nomad page is 65 miles for one pack. Sixty-five times two is 130. A brand story on that page also says 45 to 65. Doubling the low end is 90. Nobody rode the second pack for this number.

What is the Hiboy DM14?+

A kids’ dirt bike, ages 8 to 14. Hiboy’s cart is $539.99, regular $869.99. Electrek printed $539.98. The spec is 48 volts, 9 amp-hours, a 750-watt peak, 20 mph, and 38 miles. Forty-eight times 9 is 432 watt-hours. The spec list does not print pedals.
