The short answer
Lectric’s pine-green cart is $1,099. The pack is 48 volts and 7.8 amp-hours, printed as 374 watt-hours. Forty-eight times 7.8 is 374.4. Notebookcheck printed 347. The motor is a 500-watt hub with an 864-watt peak. Lectric also says Class 1, 2, or 3, and prints a thumb throttle and 28 mph.
The Lectric XPress Lite is a mid-step city bike at $1,099 on the pine-green cart this desk opened 15 October 2026. It is not the XPress 2. The motor line is a Stealth M24 rear hub, 500 watts, 864 watts peak, 61 newton-meters. The pack line is 48 volts, 7.8 amp-hours, and, in parentheses, 374 watt-hours. Forty-eight times 7.8 is 374.4, so the parenthesis matches the multiplication. Notebookcheck’s 14 October story printed 347 watt-hours for the same bike. This desk will not average 374 and 347. The cart also says the bike is a Class 1, 2, or 3, with an asterisk this page did not recover, and it prints a thumb throttle and a top speed of 28 mph. One sticker is not three classes.
Lectric’s pine-green product page, 15 October 2026, next to Notebookcheck, 14 October. A blank is a number that source did not print.
| Lectric’s cart | Notebookcheck | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $1,099 | $1,099 |
| Motor | 500 W rear hub, 864 W peak, 61 Nm | 500 W, 864 W peak, 61 Nm |
| Pack | 48 V, 7.8 Ah, 374 Wh. UL 2271. The bike is also UL 2849. | 347 Wh. UL 2271. No 2849. |
| Speed | Up to 28 mph. “Class 1, 2, or 3.” Thumb throttle. | 28 mph. No class word. No throttle. |
| Range | Up to 45 miles. Charger is 2 A, “less than 4 hours.” | 45 miles, and 72 km. |
| Weight | 45.6 lb without the battery. A second line says 45.6 lb with a 6 lb battery removed. Another line says 46.9 lb with the front tire removed. | 45.6 lb. It does not say the battery is out. |
| Load | Payload 275 lb. Rider 275 lb. Rear rack 30 lb. | 275 lb, “including luggage.” |
Forty-five miles times 1.609 is 72.4 kilometers. Notebookcheck’s 72 km is that claim in metric, not a second test. The weight lines do not survive contact with each other. If the battery is 6 pounds and the bike is 45.6 without it, 45.6 plus 6 is 51.6 with the pack on. Notebookcheck’s 45.6 is the without-battery line, printed as the weight of the bike. The 46.9-pound line, with the front tire removed, is higher than 45.6. Taking a wheel off does not add a pound. Both numbers are on Lectric’s page. The load lines have the same problem. A 275-pound rider plus a 30-pound rack is 305, and the payload cap on the same block is 275. Lectric did not say which sentence wins.

The rest of the cart
Rigid aluminum fork. Hydraulic discs, 180 mm rotors. Shimano Altus, 8-speed, an 11–32 freewheel. Tires 27.5 by 1.95, called puncture-resistant slicks. The charger is 2 amps. Forty-eight times 2 is 96 watts, if you use the pack’s nominal voltage. Three hundred seventy-four divided by 96 is 3.9 hours, if nothing is lost and the brick really is 48 volts. A 13-cell lithium-ion pack is full at 54.6 volts, and Lectric did not print that voltage on the charger line. “Less than 4 hours” is their sentence. It is not this division. The controller line is 18 amps, IPX7. Stand-over on the page is 24 inches. This desk opened the pine-green URL. Notebookcheck also names glacier white, toasted marshmallow, and stratus white. Those colors were not on the page this desk read.
Class 1, 2, or 3 is a menu
Lectric’s sentence is that five riding modes let you “own the road as a Class 1, 2, or 3.” The class chart is one sticker: Class 1 is assist to 20 with no throttle, Class 2 adds a throttle that quits at 20, Class 3 is assist to 28. A thumb throttle and a 28 mph claim do not make the bike all three at once. A mode that turns the throttle off is a different setting. It is not a second certificate. The XPerience switch, torque or cadence, is the same idea Lectric already uses on the XPress 2. The switch does not change the watt-hours, and it does not change the sticker.
Use 374 watt-hours. That is the parenthesis that matches 48 times 7.8. The 347 is the story.
The XPress 2 page this site already filed is $1,399 and 672 watt-hours. One thousand three hundred ninety-nine minus 1,099 is $300. Six hundred seventy-two minus 374 is 298 watt-hours. Those are two subtractions, not a test that the Lite goes half as far. Forty-five miles on 374 watt-hours is Lectric’s claim. It is not a loop this desk rode. Charge it on the brick that came with it. The charging page is that habit. UL 2849 is the system. UL 2271 is the pack. Notebookcheck printed only the second one.

How to Charge an E-Bike Battery: 62 of 106 Fires Started Plugged In
CPSC staff, in the June 2026 proposal, found fire in 106 of 145 e-bike investigations. Sixty-two of those 106 started while the bike was charging. Sixty-two divided by 106 is 0.58. Of 19 e-bike fire deaths, only 2 were filed as while charging. Be in the room. Use the brick that came with the bike. Unplug it when it is done. Do not sleep on it.
