A 2027 US card at $7,899, plus a $650 destination charge. ROAD mode is 55 mph, or 65 with e-boost. Japan prints a 0.98 kW rated figure next to the same 9.0 kW maximum.

The short answer
Kawasaki’s 2027 Ninja e-1 ABS is a small street motorcycle. Base MSRP is $7,899. ROAD without the boost key is 55 mph. ECO is 40. The US rated figure is 5.0 kW and the maximum is 9.0 kW. Two packs are listed as 50.4 volts and 30 amp-hours each. The range sentence is 41 miles in ROAD with boost off. The naked Z e-1 is a different model.
The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 is a small street motorcycle, not a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike. Kawasaki’s US 2027 ABS card prints a base of $7,899, a $650 destination charge, and $8,549 together. ROAD mode is 55 mph, or 65 mph with e-boost. ECO is 40 mph, or 47 with e-boost. Rated power on that card is 5.0 kW. Maximum power is 9.0 kW. Two lithium packs are listed at 50.4 volts and 30 amp-hours each. Claimed range is 41 miles in ROAD without e-boost. The Japan page prints the same 9.0 kW maximum and a rated output of 0.98 kW, and a price from ¥1,067,000. The list’s “about $8,000” and “55 mph” are the US sticker and the unboosted ROAD cap, not the whole card. The row on this desk’s list links here.

The US card, and the Japan rated line
Kawasaki US 2027 Ninja e-1 ABS versus the Japan Ninja e-1 page. Maximum power agrees at 9.0 kW. The rated figures do not. The Z e-1 is a different US bike, at $7,599, and it is not this row.
| US 2027 ABS | Japan page | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $7,899 base. $650 destination. $8,549 together. Reserve language says October 23. | From ¥1,067,000. |
| Speed | ROAD 55 mph, 65 with e-boost. ECO 40, 47 with e-boost. | Not the mph table this crawl opened. |
| Rated | 5.0 kW | 0.98 kW |
| Maximum | 9.0 kW | 9.0 kW (12 PS) |
| Torque | 29.7 lb-ft at 500 rpm | Not in the block this crawl quoted. |
| Packs | 50.4 V, 30 Ah, times two. The card does not print watt-hours. | A battery-mass line says 11.5 kg each. No amp-hour in that extract. |
| Range | 41 miles, approximate, ROAD, no e-boost. | Not that 41-mile sentence. |
| Mass / seat | 308.7 lb. Seat 30.9 in. | Not the US curb figure. |
| Charge | Spec table: 3.7 hours, times two. A later US sentence: up to about 4 hours a pack from empty, and up to about 8 hours for both. | Not those two US sentences. |
Five kilowatts and 0.98 kilowatts are not a translation of each other. Nine kilowatts is the figure both pages are willing to share. Fifty point four times 30 is 1,512 watt-hours a pack. Times two it is 3,024. The US card never writes that product. Forty-one miles on 3,024 watt-hours is about 74 watt-hours a mile, if you use both packs and the unboosted ROAD claim. That is arithmetic, not a loop. Three point seven hours and “up to about 4 hours” are both on Kawasaki’s US material. Quote the line you mean. The Z e-1’s ROAD cap on the electrification page is 53 mph, or 63 with e-boost, at $7,599. Do not shop that naked bike as this Ninja.
Fifty-five is the unboosted ROAD number. The boost key is a different speed, and Japan’s rated watts are a different sentence from the American 5.0 kW.
Who it is for
Buy it if you want Kawasaki’s small electric sport bike, you can get a motorcycle license where you live, and you will not describe 65 mph as 55. It is not a learner bicycle and it is not the Honda Motocompacto. It fails the class chart. The LiveWire S2 Del Mar is the other street motorcycle already on this list, and it is a heavier, faster, more expensive bike.
Questions people ask
What is e-boost on the US card?+
ROAD becomes 65 mph. ECO becomes 47. Those are not the unboosted caps. Do not tell a buyer the bike is a 55 mph machine if the key is in play.
Why does Japan say 0.98 kW?+
The Japan page prints 0.98 kW rated and 9.0 kW maximum, from ¥1,067,000. America prints 5.0 kW rated and the same maximum. Leave both rated figures on their own pages.
How do you get watt-hours?+
The US table never writes them. Fifty point four times 30 is 1,512 a pack, 3,024 for the pair. Charge copy says 3.7 hours times two, and also up to about 4 hours each from empty.
Is the Z e-1 this bike?+
No. The electrification page lists the Z e-1 at $7,599, with ROAD at 53 mph or 63 boosted, and a curb weight of 297.7 lb. The Ninja curb line is 308.7 lb.

What Is a Class 1, 2, and 3 E-Bike?
Class 1 is pedal-assist to 20. Class 2 adds a throttle to 20. Class 3 is pedal-assist to 28. A Tuttio is none of these. The sticker is not the trail.
