Twenty miles an hour and 15.5 miles an hour are regional caps. A dealer’s 28 mph line is a third number, and it is not on addmotor.com. Seven hundred fifty watts on the US tile is what shops call a Class 2 motor. The federal bicycle sentence says less than 750 watts, and the Plus block’s 1,400-watt peak is not that sentence. Two hundred fifty watts at 25 km/h is a different product card, the kind a pedelec market prints. Do not convert 145 km into 85 miles and call them the same test. PAS 1 at 8 mph is the 85-mile claim. PAS 7 at 20 mph is the 40-mile claim. Nine hundred sixty watt-hours divided by 85 miles is about 11 watt-hours a mile. Divided by 40 it is 24. Both are on the same Plus table.
Grandtan II and Grandtan M-340 are the same shopping problem. The Roman numeral is the dealer. The cart that takes the card is the US shop, and that shop says 20 mph.
Who it is for
Buy the M-340 if you want the US fat-tire trike at $2,399 and you have read whether the tires are the Standard pair or the Plus pair. Skip it if the listing is the Australian 25 km/h card, or the 2023 front-hub bike, and you thought you were buying the rear motor. Skip Rock Cut’s Class 3 line unless Addmotor’s own tile changes. The RadTrike is the other US trike on this list, Class 2 at 14 mph. The FlekTrike Pro leans, and it is not this delta. The VanRaam Easy Rider Compact is the seated European trike, at 250 watts on a German sheet.
Pedals are on the bike. A throttle is on the Plus marketing line. That combination is why people say Class 2, and it is why a 28 mph dealer line would leave the class chart if it were real. The watt-hour page is 48 times 20. The shop already did that multiplication and printed 960. Use 960, and do not invent a watt-hour figure for the Australian amp-hour line.
