MoonCool’s spec page prints Class 2, 15.5 mph, a 750-watt motor that peaks at 1,310 watts and 90 newton-meters, a 48-volt 20-amp-hour pack, 99.2 pounds, and 100 miles. Forty-eight times 20 is 960 watt-hours. The electronics page on the same site prints that range as 45 to 100 miles. A MoonCool post from June 28, 2026 prints 45 to 75 miles and a price of $1,999.99. One hundred miles, 45 to 100, and 45 to 75 are three claims. Do not publish 70 as the answer. Nine hundred sixty watt-hours divided by 100 miles is about 10 watt-hours a mile. Divided by 45 it is about 21. The low end is the one that looks like other trikes. The high end is what the spec page prints alone. A support article titled TK PRO, not TK2 Pro, prints a 1,500-watt peak, 16 mph, 90 pounds, and 45–75 miles. That is a different title. Do not shop the Pro with the support article’s peak.
MoonCool prints Class 2. The same spec page prints 1,310 watts peak. Class 2’s federal motor line is less than 750 watts. A throttle that stops at 20 can fit the class. The peak is the number that does not.
The other trike, and who this one is for
The Lectric XP Trike 2 is the trike this desk already wrote up. Its 750-watt version is an 840 watt-hour pack, a 70-mile claim, 17 mph, and tested loops in the high 30s and low 50s, not 100. This pack, at 960 watt-hours, is larger than either XP Trike 2 pack on that page. The weight MoonCool prints, 99.2 pounds, is in the same neighborhood as the scales on the Lectric. The Lectric’s payload line is 415 pounds. This page says 450. Those are claims, not a shared test. The non-Pro TK2, in Electric Bike Report’s August 25, 2026 review, is a 500-watt trike they listed at $1,499.99 on sale. Do not buy that one and expect 1,310 watts.
Read the class chart before you treat the Class 2 line as settled. Pedals are here. A half-twist throttle is here. Fifteen point five is under 20. The peak watt is the open question, and this desk is not issuing a class sticker either way. The watt-hour page is 48 times 20. Ride it where a trike is allowed. One hundred miles is the brochure, not a rider weight.
