Unagi Model One Voyager: Everything You Need to Know

The Unagi Model One Voyager is a folding kick scooter, not a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike, and not the Model One Classic. A manual filed under FCC ID 2A8BV1221 rates it at 500 watts continuous, a 36-volt 10.0-amp-hour pack, and 13.8 kg, and its Sport mode tops out at 15.5 mph. Electric Scooter Insider’s review, published May 29, 2023, tested 20 mph and printed a buy price of $1,490. Rider Guide’s August 17, 2026 Unagi guide says you cannot buy a Voyager: the All-Access plans on that page run from $55.30 to $79 a month. The row on this desk’s list links here.

500 watts, 1,000 watts, and two top speeds

Five hundred watts continuous and one thousand watts are not a range you average. Dual 250-watt motors add to the manual’s 500-watt continuous line. The 1,000-watt figure is the other claim, and ESI’s own peak sentence does not add up: 500 plus 200 is not 1,000. Leave it as printed. Fifteen point five miles an hour is the Sport cap in the manual. Twenty is what ESI measured and what Rider Guide still prints as the claim. A country line of 25 km/h is 15.5 mph. A country line of 20 km/h is 12.4 mph. The manual also prints those as Eco and Standard: 9.3 mph and 12.4 mph, plus an optional pedestrian mode at 3.7. Do not publish 18 mph as the answer.

A 20 mph test does not rewrite a manual that caps Sport at 15.5. Neither number makes a kick scooter a Class 2 e-bike.

You rent it, if the page has stock

Rider Guide’s August 17, 2026 table is month-to-month at $79, three months at $67.15, six months at $63.20, and twelve months at $55.30. Service and warranty are included on that page, and shipping is free. The All-Access checkout this desk opened showed a Voyager plan at $69 a month, said stock was low, and then said Voyagers were out of stock. Theft insurance on that checkout is $5 a month, or a $300 deposit. ESI’s 2023 note was a different menu: a pre-owned scooter at $69, a new one for $10 more, and about $84 a month once the $5 insurance was on. Those are three eras of the same idea. The cart in front of you is the price.

The Classic is the other Unagi. Rider Guide says that one can be bought refurbished at $399, with an 800-watt dual-motor claim, 12 miles of claimed range, 26.5 pounds, and 3.5 hours to 80 percent. Do not order a Classic photo because the title says Voyager. Twenty-five miles is the Voyager claim on both the ESI sheet and the 2026 guide. ESI’s own loops were 25 miles riding slow and 14 miles riding fast. This desk has not rerun them. Three hundred sixty watt-hours divided by 25 miles is about 14 watt-hours a mile. Divided by 14 miles it is about 26. That is the watt-hour page turned into their two loops.

Who it is for

Rent it if the point is the light scooter, you have a legal place for a kick scooter, and you would rather pay the month than own the battery. Skip it if you wanted a buy-it-once commuter. The KQi2 Pro is the small NIU with a US card at $479. The KQi3 Pro is the next one up, at $699 on its own sold-out card. Neither is this rental. It fails the class chart. There are no pedals. A speed cap is a governor, not a bicycle class, and IPX4 is a splash rating, not a permit.
