Urtopia Carbon Joy: Everything You Need to Know

The live sale is $1,899 from $2,399. The spec block says 500W, 750W peak, 50 Nm, 36V 14.7Ah, and 20 mph unless you unlock 25. A June 6, 2025 test printed 33 Nm, a 70-mile claim, and loops of 24.6 and 74.9 miles.

The short answer

The Urtopia Carbon Joy is a carbon step-through on sale at $1,899 from $2,399. The spec block says 500 watts, 750 peak, 50 newton-meters, and a 36-volt 14.7-amp-hour pack, which is 529.2 watt-hours. The hero says 25 mph. The spec says 20 unless you unlock 25, and it calls that unlock Class 3. A June 6, 2025 test printed 33 newton-meters and loops of 24.6 and 74.9 miles.

The Urtopia Carbon Joy is a carbon step-through with 20×3 tires and a rear hub, not the lighter Ultra and not a road bike. The US product page, in this crawl, is $1,899 from $2,399. The hero says 500W, up to 65 miles, and 25 mph. The spec block says rated 500W, peak 750W, 50 Nm, a 36V 14.7Ah Samsung pack printed as 529.2Wh, Class 2 by default, and 20 mph unless you unlock 25. Thirty-six times 14.7 is 529.2. That multiplication agrees. The torque cells do not. A June 6, 2025 test printed 33 Nm, a claim of up to 70 miles, and measured loops of 24.6 and 74.9 miles. The row on the list links here.

50 newton-meters, 33, and a 25 mph Class 3 line

Urtopia US product page and compare table (this crawl), Electric Bike Report (June 6, 2025), a Canada dealer card, and a Dec. 30, 2025 Ultra test cited only to keep it off this row. Not averaged.

What is printed
PriceLive US page: $1,899 from $2,399. A Canada dealer card: $2,995 CAD. The list’s old ~$2,199 line matches a Dec. 30, 2025 Ultra test, not this sale. The Ultra is a different model.
MotorLive block: rated 500W, peak 750W, rear hub, 50 Nm, torque sensor, thumb up to 20 mph. The June 6, 2025 test: 500W sustained, 750W peak, 33 Nm. A dealer tile on a US shop says 750W in the hero and 500W with a 750W peak in the key-spec list. Canada’s card: 500W, 36V, 50 Nm, and a top speed of 32 km/h. Thirty-two kilometers an hour is 19.9 mph. The Ultra test prints 60 Nm. That cell is not this bike. Do not average 33 and 50 into 41.
BatteryLive block: 36V, 14.7Ah, 529.2Wh, Samsung, removable, UL 2271. Thirty-six times 14.7 is 529.2. The 2025 test prints 529Wh for the same 14.7Ah. The system line on that test also names UL 2849, which the hero of the live page names too. There is no second pack on the compare table.
RangeLive conditions, under the 65-mile line: a 180 lb rider, ECO, flat roads, pedal assist only, no thumb. The compare table repeats 65. The 2025 test’s claim is up to 70 miles, and the measured pair on that page is 24.6 and 74.9 miles. A summary of that test, on another site, prints about 35.7 miles for the long loop and 24.6 for the short one. Seventy-four point nine and 35.7 are not the same result. Do not average them, and do not average either one with 65.
WeightLive general line: bike weight 56.8 lb (25.8 kg). Net line: 52.4 lb (23.8 kg) with the pack, 45.3 lb (20.6 kg) without, tolerance under 5 percent, and the net figure excludes rack, kickstand, fender, and pedals. The 2025 test: claimed 50 lb without accessories, scale 59 lb. Canada’s card: net 50 lb. Fifty-nine and 45.3 are not one bike weighed the same way.
Speed, class, fitHero: 25 mph. Spec: 20 mph by default, 25 mph upon unlock, Class 2 by default, Class 3 upon unlock. On the US chart, Class 3 pedal assist is 28, and a Class 2 thumb stops at 20. Twenty-five is neither number. The page still uses the Class 3 word for that unlock. Assist levels on the live block: 4. The 2025 test prints PAS 1–5. Rider height on the spec line: 5 ft 1 in to 6 ft 1 in. A size line on the same site: 4 ft 11 in to 6 ft 3 in. The 2025 test prints that wider band. Display on the US compare table: 3.5 in. The Canada card: 2.0 in. Payload on the US page: 330 lb. Folding: no.

Five hundred twenty-nine point two is the one cell the arithmetic supports. Fifty and 33 are both torque cells with this model name on them, a year apart. Twenty miles an hour is the locked spec. Twenty-five is the hero and the unlock. Sixty-five miles is the current claim, with a rider weight and a mode attached. Seventy is the older claim. Twenty-four point six and 74.9 are what that test page printed. A later summary printed 35.7 in place of 74.9. This desk did not pick a middle.

The spec block says 50 Nm and 20 mph unless you unlock 25. A 2025 test says 33 Nm. The hero still says 25 mph.

Who it is for

It is the carbon utility bike with fat 20-inch tires, a rack, one pack, and a thumb, on sale at $1,899. It is not the Ultra, which a Dec. 30, 2025 test priced at $2,199 with 60 Nm. It is not a LeMond Prolog. That card is a 700c flat-bar bike at $5,795 with no thumb in the crawl. It is not a Monarc Tracer. That one ships two 720Wh packs and a 28 mph setting.

Pedals are here, and the spec block says the thumb stops at 20. The unlock sentence calls 25 mph Class 3. That word does not match a 28 mph Class 3 definition, and it does not match the 20 mph default. Walk the hangtag. The class chart is the statute. The watt-hour page is 36 times 14.7. A rear hub at 33 or 50 Nm is not a cargo mid-drive. The hub versus mid-drive page is why a hill feels like the torque cell, not the 750W peak. Sixty-five miles was a flat ECO loop with no thumb. The hard measured loop on the 2025 page is 24.6.

Questions people ask

Is the torque 50 Nm or 33 Nm?+

The live spec block says 50 Nm. The June 6, 2025 test says 33 Nm at 500W sustained and 750W peak. A Canada card also says 50 Nm. An Ultra test says 60 Nm. The Ultra is a different model. Do not average 33 and 50.

Why does the page say both 20 mph and 25?+

The hero says 25 mph. The spec says 20 by default and 25 upon unlock, and it calls the unlock Class 3. US Class 3 pedal assist is 28. A Class 2 thumb stops at 20. Twenty-five is neither. Canada prints 32 km/h, which is 19.9 mph.

How far is the pack, not the brochure?+

Thirty-six times 14.7 is 529.2, and that is what the live block prints. The claim under that line is 65 miles: 180 lb, ECO, flat, no thumb. The 2025 test claimed 70 and printed loops of 24.6 and 74.9. Another summary of that test printed 35.7 for the long loop. Do not average those.

Which weight is the bike?+

The live page prints 56.8 lb as bike weight, 52.4 with the pack, and 45.3 without, and says the net figure skips the rack, kickstand, fender, and pedals. The 2025 test claimed 50 lb without accessories and scaled 59. Canada prints a 50 lb net. Quote the cell.
