NIU KQi Air: Everything You Need to Know

The NIU KQi Air is a carbon-fiber folding kick scooter, not a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike, and not the KQi3 Pro or the KQi2 Pro. NIU’s US shop, in this crawl, had 40 in stock at $809.10, down from $1,499. That card says 20 mph, a maximum of 31 miles, a 20 percent hill, 350 watts rated and 700 max, 48 volts and 451.2 watt-hours, a 5-hour charge, 26.2 pounds with the battery, a 9.5-inch tubeless tire, a front disc plus regen, and no suspension. A performance line on the same shop prints 30 miles. UL 2272 is on the card. IP55 is on the card. Minimum age is 14+. A Florida dealer table still starts at $1,399 and calls the brake a dual disc in front. A West Coast dealer sheet prints 486 watt-hours and a front-and-rear disc. The US card, and the lines that move

Thirty miles and thirty-one miles are both on the US shop. Do not publish 30.5. Twenty miles an hour and twenty kilometres an hour are regional caps, the same split this desk already wrote down on the KQi2 Pro. A 20 percent grade is about 11 degrees. Rider Guide’s ridefinder prints 17 degrees. That is about a 31 percent grade. They are not the same hill. The US details print a 265-pound rider max. The kilogram line elsewhere is 120 kg, which a Florida table rounds to 264. Do not invent 264.5. The Air X is not a color of this scooter. It is the 25.8-pound one, and a dealer that still says “coming soon” is behind the US cart.

Three hundred fifty watts and a carbon frame do not create pedals. UL 2272 is a scooter fire standard. UL-2271 on an Amazon title is a different number.

Who it is for

Buy the KQi Air if the job is stairs, the US cart is the $809.10 card, and 20 mph is enough. Skip it if you needed suspension, or if the listing is the Italian 20 km/h cap and you thought you were buying the US number. Skip the West Coast sheet’s 486 watt-hours. That pack is the KQi3 Pro: 19.9 mph, about 44.75 pounds, $699 and sold out when this desk wrote it. The KQi2 Pro is the heavier, slower, cheaper NIU, at $479 sold out, with a drum instead of this disc. The Unagi Model One Voyager is the other light scooter, and that one is a rental.

It is not on the class chart. Four hundred fifty-one watt-hours divided by 31 miles is about 15 watt-hours a mile. That is the claim, with no rider weight on the US line. Use 31, and do not hide the 30. The watt-hour page is the arithmetic. This desk does not have a throttle-loop mileage for this model. Do not borrow one from the KQi3 Pro.
