Lectric XPedition 2: Everything You Need to Know
The Lectric XPedition 2 is three carts. Single is $1,399 and 624Wh. Dual 13Ah is $1,799 and 1,248Wh. The long-range page prints 17.5Ah and 1,680Wh in one parenthesis. 48 times 17.5 is 840.

The short answer
The Lectric XPedition 2 is three carts, not one battery. Single is $1,399: 48 volts, 13 amp-hours, 624Wh, up to 60 miles. Dual 13 amp-hour is $1,799 and 1,248Wh, up to 120. The long-range pair is $1,999. That page prints 17.5 amp-hours and 1,680Wh in the same parenthesis. Forty-eight times 17.5 is 840. Two of those are 1,680.
The Lectric XPedition 2 is a longtail cargo bike with pedals, a throttle, and three battery carts. Lectric’s collection page shows the single at $1,399, the dual 13-amp-hour bike at $1,799, and the long-range dual at $1,999. The single page prints one 48-volt 13-amp-hour pack, 624 watt-hours, and up to 60 miles. Forty-eight times 13 is 624. The row on this desk’s list links here. It is not one battery labeled 1,680 watt-hours.

Three packs, and a parenthesis that adds the wrong way
Lectric’s XPedition collection and the three Stratus White product pages, read for this desk. Electric Bike Report’s review of this longtail is a fourth sheet, with older middle-tier pricing.
| What is printed | |
|---|---|
| Single | $1,399, crossed out from $1,745. One 48V 13Ah pack, 624Wh, up to 60 miles. Collection card matches that 13Ah and 60-mile line. |
| Dual 13Ah | $1,799, crossed out from $2,454. Two 48V 13Ah packs. The page says combined 26Ah and 1,248Wh, and up to 120 miles. A smart-draining footnote on that same page says up to 170 miles. 48 times 26 is 1,248. |
| Long-range dual | $1,999, crossed out from $2,803. The page says two 48V 17.5Ah packs and also writes 1,680Wh in that parenthesis. The combined line says 35Ah and 1,680Wh, up to 170 miles. 48 times 17.5 is 840. Two of those are 1,680. One of them is not. |
| Collection sentence | The series page also says the dual option is up to 35Ah and up to 170 miles. That sentence skips the 26Ah, 120-mile cart. |
| Motor and class | All three product pages this desk read: 750W rear hub, 1,310W peak, 85 Nm, torque sensor, Class 1, 2, or 3. UL 2849 on the bike. UL 2271 on the packs. Controller 24A, IP65, on the dual page. |
| Chassis | Single page: max 450 lb, rider 330 lb, front basket 30 lb, rear rack 300 lb. Bike 65 lb without batteries. Each pack 9 lb. The long-range page also says each pack is 9 lb. Hydraulic brakes, 180 mm rotors. 20×2.5 in tires. Those three load lines add to 660, which is more than 450. |
| EBR | The review prices a single 624Wh at $1,399, a dual 624Wh at $1,699, and two 840Wh packs (1,680Wh) at $1,999. Measured, one 840Wh pack: 68 miles in PAS 1 and 38 miles in PAS 5. Rider 175 lb, mostly flat, minimal stops. The prose extrapolates to about 136 and 76 with both packs. The summary card prints 138 and 78. |
One thousand six hundred eighty is the pair, if each long-range pack is 840. Lectric’s parenthesis puts 1,680 next to 17.5 amp-hours, which is one pack’s amp-hours. Electric Bike Report splits it the other way: two 840s. Use that split. Do not shop a single 1,680 watt-hour brick that the math does not describe. One hundred seventy miles on the 13-amp-hour dual page is the long-range claim sitting on the wrong cart, unless you believe the footnote instead of the 120-mile hero. This desk is printing both, not blending them into 145.
Nine pounds per battery, on both the 13-amp-hour page and the 17.5-amp-hour page, is the same sentence on two different packs. A larger pack can weigh the same. It usually does not. This desk did not put either pack on a scale. Sixty-eight and 38 are the miles EBR says they rode. One hundred thirty-eight and 78 are the card. About 136 and 76 are the extrapolation in the paragraph under the card. None of those is Lectric’s 170.
The 450-pound line is the cap. The rider line, the basket line, and the rack line are not a grocery list you add. Three hundred thirty plus 30 plus 300 is 660. The page already told you to stop at 450.
Who it is for
It is the longtail at Lectric’s three prices, for groceries and a passenger kit you actually buy, not for a Bosch cargo bike. The cargo page is the Tern and the Fetch, with payloads that are a different product. The Aventon Abound SR is the shorter utility bike, Class 2 on Aventon’s table, not this Class 1 / 2 / 3 menu. A hub does not put the motor through the gears. That is the hub versus mid-drive point, and it matters more when the rack is full.
The watt-hour page is 48 times 13, and 48 times 17.5, and then you double only if the cart has two packs. The class chart is the 1,310-watt peak next to a 750-watt nominal and a menu that includes 28 mph. The UL 2849 mark is printed. The warranty line this desk saw on the dual page is one year. Demo it with the heavier adult and the seats on. A 65-pound frame with no batteries in it is not the bike you will lift after the school run.
Questions people ask
How much does the Lectric XPedition 2 cost?+
The collection page shows $1,399 single, $1,799 for two 13-amp-hour packs, and $1,999 for the long-range pair. Crossed-out figures are $1,745, $2,454, and $2,803. Electric Bike Report’s review priced the middle setup at $1,699. The cart is the price.
How big is the pack on a Lectric XPedition 2?+
It depends which cart. One 13-amp-hour pack is 624. Two of them are 1,248, and the page also says 26 amp-hours. The long-range page says combined 35 amp-hours and 1,680Wh. That total matches two 840Wh packs. It does not match one 17.5-amp-hour pack. Do not buy 1,680 as a single battery.
How far does the Lectric XPedition 2 go?+
Claims: 60, 120, and 170 miles for the three setups. The smaller dual page also mentions 170 miles in a smart-draining footnote. EBR rode one 840-watt-hour pack: 68 miles in PAS 1 and 38 in PAS 5, rider 175 pounds, mostly flat. The review’s summary card prints 138 and 78. The prose extrapolates to about 136 and 76.
What is the Lectric XPedition 2 payload?+
The single-battery page prints a 450-pound max, a 330-pound rider, a 30-pound front basket, and a 300-pound rear rack. Those three lines add to 660, which is more than 450. The 450 is the cap. Bike weight is printed as 65 pounds without batteries. Both battery pages say each pack weighs 9 pounds.
