Priority E-Sauce: $2,199, 720 Watt-Hours, and a Class 2 That Opens

Priority’s E-Sauce page, read 20 October 2026, is $2,199. A 750-watt rear hub, a printed 720 watt-hours, 59 pounds, a throttle, and a Gates belt. It ships Class 2 at 20 mph. Pedal assist can open to 28. Range is 20 to 60 miles. The page does not print volts. Not the $799 pedal Sauce.

The short answer

The Priority E-Sauce is a belt-drive hardtail, not the pedal Sauce. The product page, read 20 October 2026, is $2,199: a 750-watt rear hub, a printed 720 watt-hours, 59 pounds, and a throttle. It ships Class 2 at 20 mph. Pedal assist can be opened to 28. Range is 20 to 60 miles. The page does not print volts. Electrek’s 20 mph sensor split is not on that block.

The Priority E-Sauce is a hardtail with a rear hub and a belt. It is not the pedal Sauce. Priority’s product page, read 20 October 2026, is $2,199. The motor line is 750 watts, rear hub. The battery line is 720 watt-hours. The page does not print volts or amp-hours, so this desk will not invent a pair that multiplies to 720. Weight is 59 pounds. There is a handlebar throttle. It ships as Class 2, limited to 20 mph, and the page says pedal assist can be raised to a Class 3 setting of 28 mph. Range is 20 to 60 miles, and the page names the usual reasons: assist, throttle, terrain, elevation, rider weight, temperature, and speed. This is that page, Electrek’s 19 October story, and Priority’s own film. It is not a SickEBike loop.

Priority’s studio hero. The file name on the page is dated August 2026. The product page says 59 pounds, a 750-watt rear hub, a Gates belt, and a WTB Intersector 27.5 by 2.4. It is not a timed ride.

Seven hundred twenty divided by 20 is 36 watt-hours a mile. Seven hundred twenty divided by 60 is 12. Both ends are on the same page, and the page already says the ride moves with assist and throttle. Twelve is the gentle end of that sentence. Thirty-six is the throttle end, or the hill, or the rider. They are not a test this desk rode. The range page is why a band is not a loop. The watt-hour page is why 720 is the tank only because Priority printed it. There is no voltage on the sheet to check the multiplication against.

One collection crawl of Priority’s electric page printed $2,852.50 next to the E-Sauce, and $4,279.40 next to the Current Plus. The Current Plus product page this desk has used is $3,299. Four thousand two hundred seventy-nine dollars and forty cents divided by 3,299 is 1.297. Two thousand eight hundred fifty-two dollars and fifty cents divided by 2,199 is the same 1.297. The product page, the belt-drive category page, and Electrek all print $2,199. This desk will not call $2,852.50 a second United States price until a page says what the multiplier is. Pay the cart.

The hub does not use the belt

The motor is a rear hub. The Gates belt is what the rider pedals, on one sprocket. A hub does not run through that belt, and a single-speed bike has no cassette to hide in. Hills are the 750 watts and the throttle, not a lower gear. The hub and mid-drive page is that split. Electrek’s sensor sentence is more specific than the product page: torque up to 20 mph, cadence after that. The product page says torque-and-cadence sensing and stops. Do not shop the handoff unless the bike in the box does it. A cadence sensor does not know how hard you push. The sensor page is why those two words are not one part.

Class 2 with a throttle, shipping at 20 mph, is the bicycle most of Priority’s electric pages describe. Opening pedal assist to 28 mph is a Class 3 setting. The page does not say the throttle follows it to 28. Class 3 is pedal assist to 28. A throttle that still works at 28 is a different machine than the sticker. Seven hundred fifty watts is the federal ceiling, not under it. Read the screen before you ride the opened bike onto a path that stops at 20, or at 15.

The belt is for your feet. The motor is in the rear hub. One speed means the hill gets the throttle, not a smaller cog.

It is not the pedal Sauce, and it is not a trail bike

Priority’s pedal Sauce, on the single-speed collection, is $799. That page prints 25 pounds, with pedals and a kickstand. Fifty-nine minus 25 is 34 pounds. That is the battery, the hub, and the fork, not a rounding. Do not buy the E-Sauce because a review liked the quiet belt on the bike with no motor. One hundred millimeters of front travel and a 27.5 by 2.4 tire are a hardtail for a rough street and a smooth path. They are not a full-suspension trail bike. The mountain-bike guide is the other category. Two-piston hydraulics and 180 mm rotors, with a motor cutoff, are the brake line. The brake guide is why two pistons are not four. The front light is IPX5. The page does not give the whole bike that rating. The Headway rack is a separate purchase, rated to 55 pounds. The rear mounts accept an MIK rack. The photograph does not show either rack in the box.

The film is Priority’s, and it is four minutes

Priority Bicycles, 18 October 2026, 4 minutes 24 seconds. About 1,700 views when this desk looked. A chapter is titled throttle and 720 watt-hours. It is the company’s film. It is not an independent loop to empty. A 2024 review titled the Sauce, with no motor in the description, is the pedal bike.

Who it is for

Buy it if you wanted the Sauce’s one belt and you have accepted 59 pounds, a hub, and a throttle, at $2,199, and if Class 2 is the bike you will actually ride. Open it to 28 only where that setting is legal, and do not assume the throttle came along. Skip it if you needed a voltage, a tested mile, or a gear for a hill. Skip it if the cart no longer says 720 watt-hours and 59 pounds. Skip the $799 Sauce if you needed the motor, and skip this one if you needed the 25-pound bike. The warranty line on the page this desk read does not print a year count. Ask before you treat a slogan as five years.

Questions people ask

How much is the Priority E-Sauce?+

The product page, the belt-drive category, and Electrek’s 19 October 2026 story all print $2,199. A collection crawl printed $2,852.50, and the same multiplier on the Current Plus. This desk will not call that a second United States price.

Is the E-Sauce Class 2 or Class 3?+

It ships Class 2, with a throttle, at 20 mph. The page says pedal assist can be set to 28 mph. It does not say the throttle follows. Seven hundred fifty watts is the federal line, not under it.

What battery is in the E-Sauce?+

Priority prints 720 watt-hours and a range of 20 to 60 miles. The page does not print volts or amp-hours. Seven hundred twenty divided by 60 is 12 watt-hours a mile. Divided by 20 it is 36.

Is the E-Sauce the same as the Priority Sauce?+

No. The pedal Sauce on the single-speed collection is $799. That page prints 25 pounds, with pedals and a kickstand. The E-Sauce page says 59 pounds, a 750-watt hub, and a throttle.
