Sur-Ron Light Bee X vs Ultra Bee
MY26 Light Bee X sheets say 10 kW and 130 lb. Ultra Bee cards that agree say 24.5 kW and 195 lb. The packs are 2,520 and 4,440 watt-hours. The speed lines do not share a number.

The short answer
The 2026 Sur-Ron Light Bee X and the Ultra Bee are dirt bikes, not Class 1, 2, or 3 bicycles. MY26 Light Bee sheets say 10 kilowatts, 72 volts, 35 amp-hours, and 130 pounds. Ultra Bee cards that agree say 24.5 kilowatts, 74 volts, 60 amp-hours, and 195 pounds. Seventy-two times 35 is 2,520 watt-hours. Seventy-four times 60 is 4,440. The speed lines do not share a number.
The 2026 Sur-Ron Light Bee X and the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee are both electric dirt bikes, and neither is a Class 1, 2, or 3 bicycle. The MY26 Light Bee sheets this desk already filed, Sur-Ron UK, Sur-Ron Canada, and Traction Bikes, say 10 kilowatts peak, a 72-volt 35-amp-hour pack, 130 pounds, and a claimed 50 mph. The Ultra Bee cards that agree say 24.5 kilowatts in Turbo, a 74-volt 60-amp-hour pack, and 195 pounds. Seventy-two times 35 is 2,520 watt-hours. Seventy-four times 60 is 4,440. Twenty-four and a half minus 10 is 14.5 kilowatts. One hundred ninety-five minus 130 is 65 pounds. Those gaps are the shopping problem. A blog that still prints 6 kilowatts and 110 pounds is describing an older Light Bee, not this MY26 sheet.
Light Bee column is the MY26 sheet already on the Light Bee X page: Sur-Ron UK, Sur-Ron Canada, and Traction Bikes. Ultra column is Voro’s US page and Surron Canada’s card, the same sources as the Ultra Bee page. Prices are carts, not one invoice.
| Light Bee X, MY26 | Ultra Bee | |
|---|---|---|
| Peak | 10 kW | 24.5 kW in Turbo. Canada also prints 21.5 kW standard. |
| Wheel torque | 295 N·m, written as 217 ft-lb | Canada: 520 N·m, written there as 384 ft-lb. Voro’s banner says 384 ft-lb. |
| Pack | 72V 35Ah. 72×35 is 2,520 Wh. The sheet rounds that to 2.5 kWh. | 74V 60Ah. 74×60 is 4,440 Wh. |
| Claimed speed | 50 mph on the UK and Canada sheets | Canada: 59 mph. Voro’s US page: ships at 20 mph. A UK HP X listing: 68 mph. |
| Weight | 130 lb, also printed as 59 kg | 195 lb on Voro and on the Canada card. A UK listing’s 88.5 kg is that same 195. |
| Wheels and brakes | 19/18. Four-piston, 203 mm rotors. Primary belt, secondary chain. | Voro: 80/100-19 and 100/90-18, four-piston, 240 mm rotors, 9.4 in of travel. Twist throttle. |
| A named time | Canada, on the Light Bee page: 0–19 mph in 1.29 s, 0–31 mph in 2.5 s. | Voro’s July note and a UK listing: 0–31 mph in 1.84 s. This desk did not clock either. |
| Charge, 20% to 80% | 2.15 hours on the 84V 10A brick | 2.5 hours, Canada and Voro |
| Price on a named card | No US factory MSRP. Rider Guide logged about $3,899–$5,500. Canada lists $6,499 plus freight and PDI. | Voro cart in the Ultra crawl: $5,995.95 from $6,899. Voro’s July note: $6,399–$6,499. Canada: $7,999 plus $300 freight and $300 PDI. |
Fourteen and a half kilowatts, and 1,920 watt-hours
Four thousand four hundred forty minus 2,520 is 1,920 watt-hours. The Ultra pack is the larger tank. It is not twice the Light Bee pack: twice 2,520 would be 5,040, and 5,040 minus 4,440 is 600 short of double. The peak is the other way. Twice 10 kilowatts is 20. The Ultra Turbo line is 24.5, which is 4.5 past double, and Canada’s standard mode is 21.5, which is 1.5 past double. Wheel torque on the two sheets is 295 against 520 newton-meters. Five hundred twenty minus 295 is 225. Both lines say at the wheel. Do not put a motor newton-meter from a different bike in that subtraction. The motor page is why a peak is not the hangtag, and 10 kilowatts is already not a 750-watt bicycle.
Sixty-five pounds is the lift
One hundred ninety-five minus 130 is 65 pounds, if both claims hold. This desk did not put either bike on a scale. The Light Bee page already says the Ultra is the wrong bike if you still want to lift it into a van. Sixty-five pounds is that sentence with the arithmetic left in. Seat height on the Light Bee sheet is 830 mm. The Ultra page this desk filed does not print a seat height, so this comparison will not invent one. Fork travel is also not one unit: the Light Bee sheet says 200 mm of fork, and Voro’s Ultra block says 9.4 inches of travel. Those are not the same measurement.

Fifty, twenty, fifty-nine, and sixty-eight are not a top speed
The Light Bee claim that the UK and Canada sheets share is 50 mph. The Ultra Bee does not have one speed. Canada prints 59. Voro’s US product page says the bike ships at 20 mph, and the same page claims 87 miles at 25 mph. A UK MY26 HP X listing says 68 mph. Fifty-nine minus 50 is 9, and that subtraction is only legal if the crate is the Canada Ultra and the MY26 Light Bee, not the US governor and not the UK 68. Do not average 20, 50, 59, and 68. The 0-to-31 claims are 2.5 seconds on the Light Bee Canada line and 1.84 seconds on Voro’s July Ultra note. This desk did not hold either watch. Range claims are also different tests: Light Bee’s sheet says 46.6 miles at 24.85 mph, and Pit Bike USA’s owner pile is 25 to 32 miles of mixed Sport. Ultra’s Voro page says 87 miles at 25 mph, and Voro’s July note says Surron claims about 71.5 miles at 31 mph. The range page is why those miles do not subtract.
A 20 mph governor on a US Ultra cart is a setting. It is not proof the Light Bee is the faster bike, and it is not Class 2.
Rotors, then the third Sur-Ron
Both sheets say four pistons. The Light Bee rotor line is 203 mm. Voro’s Ultra line is 240 mm. Two hundred forty minus 203 is 37. That is a spec gap, not a fade test. The brake page is the Light Bee story, including the people who later bolt Ultra calipers onto a Light Bee. The primary is not the same part either: belt plus chain on the MY26 Light Bee, and the Ultra page does not reprint that belt sentence.
There is a third chassis. The Light Bee 2 is not this Light Bee X. Canada’s card for that one prints 24 kilowatts in Turbo, 143.30 pounds, and a 78.54-volt 45-amp-hour pack labeled 3.53 kWh. Twenty-four is half a kilowatt under the Ultra’s 24.5, on a bike the Canada card weighs at 143.30 pounds instead of 195. One hundred ninety-five minus 143.30 is 51.7. Shop that page if the question was “24 kilowatts without the 195-pound bike,” not if the question was this one.
Which one, if the crate matches the sheet
Buy the Light Bee X if you want the 130-pound trail bike, the parts catalog, and 10 kilowatts, and you can live with a claimed 50 rather than a 24.5-kilowatt Turbo mode. Buy the Ultra Bee if you want the 4,440-watt-hour pack and the 24.5-kilowatt line, and you can lift 195 pounds or you are not lifting it alone. Do not buy either as a bicycle. The class chart stops at pedals and 750 watts. The Talaria MX4 fight is the other Light Bee comparison, 8 kilowatts and about 145 pounds on that page, and it is not this Ultra. The invoice is the cart in front of you. A Canada list, a Voro tag, and a Rider Guide spread are three prices.
Questions people ask
Is the Light Bee X or the Ultra Bee more powerful?+
On the sheets this desk already filed, the MY26 Light Bee X is 10 kilowatts and the Ultra Bee Turbo line is 24.5. Twenty-four and a half minus 10 is 14.5. Canada also prints 21.5 kilowatts as the Ultra’s standard mode. A blog still showing 6 kilowatts is an older Light Bee.
Which Sur-Ron battery is larger?+
The Ultra pack. Seventy-four times 60 is 4,440 watt-hours. The MY26 Light Bee is 72 times 35, which is 2,520. Four thousand four hundred forty minus 2,520 is 1,920. That is not double: twice 2,520 is 5,040.
How much heavier is the Ultra Bee?+
The cards say 195 pounds and 130 pounds. One hundred ninety-five minus 130 is 65, if both claims hold. This desk did not weigh either bike.
Which one is faster?+
There is no single speed. The Light Bee UK and Canada sheets claim 50 mph. Ultra Canada says 59. Voro’s US Ultra page says it ships at 20. A UK HP X listing says 68. Do not average them.
