Sur-Ron Ultra Bee: Everything You Need to Know

The Sur-Ron Ultra Bee is a full-size electric dirt bike, not a Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bike. The 2026 cards that agree put peak power at 24.5 kilowatts in Turbo, a 74-volt 60-amp-hour pack, and curb weight at 195 pounds. Seventy-four times 60 is 4,440 watt-hours. Voro Motors’ US product page, updated in the crawl as August 2026, shows the Ultra Bee HP SW at $5,995.95, down from $6,899, and says it ships speed-limited to 20 mph. The same page claims 87 miles at 25 mph. Surron Canada’s card lists 59 mph, 24.5 kilowatts in Turbo and 21.5 in the standard mode, and an MSRP of $7,999 before $300 freight and $300 PDI. The sheet, and the speed that will not sit still

The 20 mph line and the 25 mph range line are on the same Voro product page. A bike that ships governed to 20 cannot be ridden at 25 unless the governor is not the whole story. Voro’s own July article says Surron’s claim is about 59 mph and about 71.5 miles at 31 mph, and that riders report the mid-to-high 50s on flat ground. That article is not a dyno sheet. Do not average 20, 59, and 68 into a “real top speed.” Twenty is the US ship governor on that cart. Fifty-nine is the Canada card. Sixty-eight is a UK HP X listing. Ask which bike is in the crate.

Twenty-four and a half kilowatts is not a 750-watt bicycle. A lighting kit is not a title. A 20 mph governor is a setting on a dirt bike, not Class 2.

What it is not

It fails the federal bicycle tests. No pedals that make it a bicycle, and the motor is an order of magnitude past 750 watts. The class chart does not have a row for it. A street-legal lighting kit, which is a phrase on Voro’s page, is lights. It is not a registration. Ride it where a dirt bike is allowed. A sidewalk, a bike lane, and a rail-trail are not that place. Jacksonville’s 15 mph e-bike rule does not turn this into an e-bike either.

The Light Bee X is the smaller Sur-Ron: on the order of 140 pounds and about 10 kilowatts on the 2026 cards this desk has used, with the parts catalog. The Ultra Bee is the 195-pound bike with the 4,440 watt-hour pack. The Talaria Sting R MX4 is the other common trail bike, 8 kilowatts peak on the dealer sheets that agree, and about 145 pounds. Do not shop them on the word “Sur-Ron.” Peak kilowatts are not wheel torque. Canada’s 520 newton-meters is at the wheel. A motor newton-meter on a gearbox bike is a different measurement. The brake page is the Light Bee story. Voro’s Ultra Bee card says four pistons and 240 mm rotors. That is the spec line, not a test of fade.

Who it is for

Buy it if you want the full-size Sur-Ron, you have a place to ride a dirt bike, and you can lift 195 pounds onto a stand or a rack. The modes on Voro’s block are Eco, Daily, Sport, Reverse, and Turbo. Turbo is the 24.5 kilowatt line. Standard, on the Canada card, is 21.5. The 0-to-31 mph time of 1.84 seconds shows up as a manufacturer claim on Voro’s July note and on the UK listing. It is not a time this desk clocked. Range at a steady 31 mph is a claim. A 20 mph US governor makes the 87-mile, 25 mph sentence a claim about a bike that is not in that mode.

The price to compare is the cart in front of you. $5,995.95 is Voro’s tagged price in this crawl. $6,899 is the number they crossed out. $6,399 to $6,499 is what their July article printed. $7,999 Canadian plus $600 of freight and PDI is a different country and a different invoice. None of those is a $4,000 Light Bee. None of them makes it an e-bike.
