2026 Launches That Actually Shipped

Not every 2026 “new bike” is new. These are dated events with a filing, a press date, or a ship date.

Rad Power Bikes filed Chapter 11 in December 2025 after warning of “significant financial challenges” in November. GeekWire, citing the filing: revenue $129.8 million (2023), $103.8 million (2024), $63.3 million into late 2025; liabilities ~$73 million against ~$32 million in assets. On 6 March 2026, Life Electric Vehicles Holdings (Life EV) of South Florida closed a court-approved asset buy for $13.2 million — brand, IP, inventory, certain operations. Electrek and TechCrunch both dated the close. Life EV said the Rad name continues in the U.S., with plans for more U.S. assembly. Existing warranties were a stated priority. The RadRover 6 Plus on Rad’s site is still the fat-tire flagship under that brand.

Tern announced a redesigned HSD on 15 July 2026: new cargo geometry, 419 lb max gross vehicle weight, 176 lb Atlas H rack, Bosch Performance Sport and Class 3 on select U.S. models, from $4,999, summer dealer arrivals. Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0 started 4 May 2026 for CX and CX-R motors — situational 120 Nm and 600% assist in named modes, 750 W peak unchanged. Specialized’s Levo 4 was already the current full-power Levo; a February 2026 S-Works firmware bump raised peak power toward 850 W on that trim. Aventon Level 4 REC/ADV and the Aventure 3 (2025 launch, still current at $1,999) are the DTC bikes filling shops and YouTube queues. Bicycling put the Aventon Current e-MTB on its 2026 best-bikes list.

Lectric remains the volume play in U.S. DTC roundups (XP4 folder from about $999). Trek’s dealer-network answer is still Bosch on Allant+ / Verve+ / Fuel EXe. Segway’s Muxi Pro ($1,999.99) hits U.S. dealers and Segway.com on 22 September 2026: 750W hub, 716Wh, 9-speed auto-shift, Class 1–3 in the app. If a launch does not have a price, a motor name, and a date, it is not on this list.
